Upon your arrival in Jerusalem you will find an envelope with information in the apartment - It is of utmost importance that you call one of our DVI staff members as soon as you arrive in Jerusalem: MIRIAM Tel. 5820482.

 

We are working 5 days a week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday are the weekend days. Working hours are 8:00 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. and on Thursdays until 12:45pm.

 

On your first day of work at the clinic you will be picked up at 7:45 a.m. and taken to the clinic by a DVI staff member or volunteer. Please wait in front of the apartment building.
 
Transportation to Jerusalem upon arrival in Israel:
When leaving the Customs Hall at Ben Gurion Airport, look for the Nesher Sherut Taxi Service. The driver will bring you to your apartment. Their taxis have fixed routes and fares, and charge about US$ 10 per person. With a party of four, however, it is advisable to take a regular taxi (approximately $40). Taxis will bring you directly to your apartment.

 

DVI is not able to provide transportation from the airport to all volunteers. Sometime we send a volunteer to check this possibility before your arrival, please write to our office dvi@zahav.net.il . We are not able to provide transportation back to the airport at your departure.
